Description:

Covid-19 has uncovered many untruths as to the care and treatment of our elderly population and Canadians have lost confidence in a system that is supposed to protect them at their most vulnerable time.  Dr Sinha, an expert in aging and our current LTC system, will provide the background as to what is and is not working, as well as modelling for systems around that world that have worked. Terry Zavitz will address sustainability as to our current system, public policy options, industry requirements that can help Canadians prepare for LTC needs, as well as planning opportunities for advisors.

With the exponential growth of Canadians reaching their senior years, and the reality that the majority of them will need care within the next 30 years, this session is not only topical but critical for our industry whose role is to help Canadians financially prepare for the future.
